Kid’s Connection, a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Bend, was established as a community project in 2005. October featured a Halloween party for more than 100 third through sixth graders, complete with face painting, games, crafts and storytelling. In December, volunteers helped the children design decorative plates that they could give to a loved one for a holiday gift. Finally, the League stocked the Club with books and craft supplies in an effort to expand their library and craft room.
In the winter, the Junior League of Tallahassee, in conjunction with Communities In Schools of Leon County (CIS), launched Stuff the Bus to collect school supplies for underprivileged and at-risk, elementary-aged school children in Leon County.
pring marked the fourth year of the Operation Prom Dress boutique.
