The Done in a Day program is designed to help local organizations or charities with one-day projects that yield a large reward for all involved. All Done in a Day projects are designed to meet a specific, immediate community need. Past projects include spring cleaning at the Ronald McDonald house, throwing a Pumpkinpalooza party for the children in the pediatric unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, sorting toys at the Christmas Connection and volunteering at the build-site when ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover came to town.

Snuggle Up With A Book

In September 2009 the Junior League of Tallahassee presented “Snuggle up with a Book” to Oak Ridge Elementary School. Junior League volunteers, along with parents and teachers, spent time with 30 pre-kindergarten students and 71 kindergarten students reading good books.

Pumpkinpalooza

An afternoon full of games, face painting, goodie bags and arts and crafts for the kids at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s Pediatric Ward was arranged by the Done in a Day committee. The fun activities and trick-or-treating gave the children a chance to partake in holiday fun!

Christmas Party With Grace Mission

The Junior League of Tallahassee invited the children of Grace Mission to the Junior League headquarters for arts and crafts, lunch and an exciting visit from Santa Claus. With generous donations, each child received holiday gifts to open and enjoy.

Valentine’s Spa Day For Refuge House

In honor of Valentine’s Day, Junior League volunteers honored ladies from the Refuge House at the Aveda Institute. Aveda employees pampered guests from Refuge House with manicures and pedicures. This event was a wonderful way to give a “heart” to the ladies that needed some extra relaxation.
