Junior League of Tallahassee helps local children shop for school
On Sunday, members of the Junior League of Tallahassee helped more than 100 local children shop for back-to-school items at its annual Kids’ Boutique shopping event. In partnership with Kohl’s, event sponsor American Classic Agency and CenturyLink, the League purchased back-to-school items including clothes, shoes, backpacks and school supplies.
President Taylor Hatch said, “We are so pleased to be able to help families with clothes and supplies so that these amazing kids can go to school with confidence and have a successful year. Thank you to our partners at Kohl’s, American Classic Agency and CenturyLink, as well as all of our volunteers for making this annual event a success.”
The Junior League of Tallahassee works directly with guidance counselors at Leon County elementary schools to identify children who are in need of essential school items. There is no cost to the student or his or her family to participate.
